Lance Lumley reviews Be Afraid...
"..All ages of readers from early readers to adults will find something enjoyable in this first of the series which will not only give the younger readers encouragement and hope at times without coming off as cheesy, but also a good discussion base for the adults to interact with them."

What Readers Say
I really enjoyed Forget Everything And Read. It’s a fun mix of creepy and imaginative short stories. The stories touch on everything from haunted houses to strange creatures and even time machines, and they all have just the right amount of “spookiness” without going too far. It’s definitely something kids and adults can both enjoy—but I think it leans more toward a younger audience—which makes it a great pick for family reading.
What I liked most was that the book isn’t just about “scares”—it also has a lot of heart. Each story covers themes of fear, hope, and love, so you walk away with more than just a chill. Some of the stories even felt uplifting in their own way. If you like short, spooky reads that still leave you thinking or smiling afterward, this is definitely worth checking out.
